Analog and digital. The frames are his. This page is a caption.
Dennis Auburn told Atwood Magazine in 2014 that he was twenty-two, shooting analog and digital, traveling Texas and wherever the next roll pointed. He was born in Mons, Belgium, grew up in Missouri — Jefferson City on his Flickr card — and was living in Houston when that interview ran. Later the same Flickr profile lists San Francisco. He prefers film to digital in the profile line. Portraits, he said, are a way to meet someone and to read a scar, a stretch, a mark. The Contrast issue carried a series titled Border Line: soft color, dreamlike light. This desk names the path. It does not rehost the negatives.
